Live at the Leafe...The Will Thomas Band

We want to thank Will, Wally, Derek, & Richard for making the trip down from Charlottesville to play at the Leafe! Will, even feeling a little under the weather and having just flown in from Ohio, sounded great. Switching gears and playing their electric set rather than the acoustic was well received. The band just picked Richard up this past week as their newest member, and the way he played the drums you would have thought he had been a member since the bands incepetion. We look forward to having the Will Thomas Band back at the Downtown Leafe on October 21st.

If live music is what you’re looking for, the Downtown Leafe plays host to a wide variety of acts every Wednesday night. The next show will be on Wednesday, September 23rd, when the Leafe hosts Williamsburg’s own Rich Whiskey Audition!!! Get here early, we’re expecting a huge turnout!

Magic Hat 9.9.09 Party

We celebrated the magic of #9 in true style at the Downtown Leafe on 9.9.09. Andrew from Magic Hat supplied the crowd with tons of goodies and a couple of brewskies!! The flame throwers and our lovely belly dancer were a big hit, attracting crowds who watched in amazement with mouths agape. One of the Leafe’s employees, Arthur, even got into the fire spinning action! We’re lucky the whole place didn’t burn down…

Leafe Karaoke!!

Well, well, well…Tony Wilson, you definitely made an impression!! The Green Leafe’s first night of Karaoke was a great success. There is lots of hidden talent out there, as well as some “talent” that maybe should stay hidden! I guess if you have the guts to get up there and sing, who am I do say anything! Thanks to DJ House and Tad for leading the way. A shout out to Franklin and Danielle who were both celebrating their birthdays by singing some tunes. Franklin, I’ll be getting you some singing lessons next year for your birthday. We look forward to hosting Leafe Karaoke every Tuesday night at the Downtown Green Leafe. Come be a part of the fun!

Rich Whiskey Audition Rocks the Leafe!

On Wednesday night, The Rich Whiskey Audition made its first appearance at the Green Leafe, and absolutely rocked the joint! Jon, Mike & Scott had the crowd singing and dancing all night long. O’Neil Jones got to celebrate his birthday in true Rich Whiskey fashion by taking Jon’s place at the drum set. We were all quite impressed! Rich Whiskey’s funky style was a truly welcomed addition to the Green Leafe’s line-up of live music!
