We are experimenting with providing limited WiFi Internet access to Green Leafe Cafe customers/patrons using laptop computers with wireless 802.11b capabilities. You will be able to register for access directly from your 802.11b enabled laptop. An instruction sheet is available for download in PDF format here. There are some limits on access. We ask that WiFi users only take advantage of the Internet access during off-peak business hours (usually Lunch time, early afternoon, or evenings after the busy Dinner hours. Please respect any request by the staff regarding your laptop or Internet usage. After registering for WiFi access, be sure to check your e-mail ASAP and click the link to confirm your e-mail address and activate your WiFi access... You have about 10 minutes to do this before your temporary connection times-out (disconnects). Users are allowed a maximum of 1 hour of access per day by the automated system unless other arrangements have been made. Be sure to leave the small login window open to keep your connection active. You may need to disable any popup blockers before logging in so the login window is not closed by your popup blocker. Also, several Internet ports are blocked for security reasons. Port 25 (SMTP) is blocked, so in order to send e-mail you must login to your ISP's webmail system. However, you should be able to check or download e-mail normally. Hotmail, Yahoo Mail, Google Mail (Gmail), and similar web based e-mail services should work normally. Use of the WiFi Hotspot also requires agreeing to and following the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy found on the WiFi Zone Login screen...
